Audrey Nowakowski is a host, producer, and reporter for Lake Effect on WUWM 89.7 FM-- Milwaukee's NPR. She is involved with every aspect of the show- from conducting interviews, editing audio, writing articles and mixing the show together. Lake Effect delivers a wide range of conversations about the people, places and organizations that shape Milwaukee.

Audrey especially enjoys covering topics that involve history, the LGBTQ community, and film. Audrey is also co-executive producer of 'Live at Lake Effect', a filmed music series, and is a member of GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics.

Audrey joined the Advisory Panel of the Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project in November 2023.
