Vuk's Place was a friendly neighborhood-type bar on the near south side by owner Tom. Holding its Grand Opening in December 1992 (In Step, Steppin Out, v09-25), Vuk's had a loyal but relatively small following, but had its share of problems as well. There were some parking problems, and at one point a dispute over the liquor license caused the bar to be closed for a short time, being reopened as "Vuk's II". But it was unable to maintain an adequate clientele to remain viable, and closed the end of May 1995 when running the bar while also holding down another full-time job became too much for owner Tom (In Step, Steppin Out, v12-10).

More information about this business is welcomed from anyone who can contribute it.
