JC's Rainbow Bar was opened by J.C. (Joel Castillo), and managed by Wade Twamley.

JC's was open for just a year until being closed due to health problems of the owner. Many of the staff and customers moved to a new bar, the Rainbow Revue.

In 2010, a photo album of photos and clippings from the bar's existence came to light. Assembled at the time by the bar's manager, Wade Twamley, the album was donated by Wade to the UWM Archives' LGBT Collection. See the album at this link. The album can also be viewed at the UWM Archives by request.

More information about this business is welcomed from anyone who can contribute it.
